What? November? Wow, it's been a while. Let's skip the courtesy promise of posting more after a 5 month hiatus, because we both know that's not going to happen. Unfortunately I don't have copious amounts of work to show for myself, but I do have a few instagrams for you and stacks of paper which you will probably never see. Instead, let me say a bit about where I've been.
Well, of course, CHRISTMAS. And I'm not even religious (in the societal way either, but that's a whole other post). Then, WEDDINGS. Or at least, pending weddings. One of which is that of my oldest and dearest friends, whom has also given me the profound privilege of being a bridesmaid. Over and above the usual borrowed and blue responsibilities, I took on the role of wedding stationery technician. Which in effect, was my first design experiment which had the added pressure of being for a bride AND a talented designer.
I think it's safe to say I went through the motions and ended up learning a lot and having a ton of fun. Perhaps there are more wedding stationery design experiments to come... (?) Other than floral watercolours and table numbers there has been a lot of whiskey, flea markets, 30 seconds and freshly braaied meat in my life. Also, BARBRA STREISAND, on repeat, two years too late.
For the next few weeks I'll be working on a new Society6 series entitled 'Seasons'. Which is primarily to get the floral watercolours out of my head, and maybe produce a few free wallpapers in the future (watch this space).
